Whilst reproducing as close as possible the texture of natural materials, the product has the high quality and stability required for industrial purposes.
By minimizing the weight and length of the material and reducing discoloration and deformation prevalent in natural materials, FORTINA can deliver an innovative design not previously possible.

“The FORTINA Story”
In order to meet the needs of many of our customers who “wanted to replace the Japanese streetscapes with richer and more beautiful designs,” Toppan, after many years of research, created a highly weather resistant decorative surface material. After development, the decorative surface material, combined with an aluminum profile obtained an incombustible material certification and starting with louvers, was subsequently commercialized. The product has now been adopted in numerous buildings such as train stations, airports, hotels, stores, medical facilities, and condominiums. The product line-up continues to expand, and now includes not only battens but also a variety of products such as slats and handrails.

FORTINA Battens
Fortina Battens are lightweight, incombustible, weather resistant, and quick and cost efficient to install. They come in over 50 profiles and over 100 unique films that mimic woodgrain species and metal patterns. The possibilities are endless – battens can be mounted directly to a surface, suspend from ceilings or create sturdy exterior screens using our stringer-attachment system, or be installed from the floor to the ceiling to create partition areas.
FORTINA Slats
Lightweight tongue and groove Fortina slats are commonly used on walls, ceilings, and soffits, both indoors and outdoors. Since they are available in the same finishes, they may be coordinated to match with Fortina battens. Slats are available in several widths and are available with or without a reveal between each slat.
